Did you know that Barron Trump, the youngest son of former President Donald Trump, has a favourite animal? It’s true – and it’s the trumpeter swan, a beautiful bird that can weigh as much as 30 pounds!

The trumpeter swan is the largest waterfowl species found in North America. It has a wingspan of up to 8 feet and is known for its distinctive honking call, which can often be heard from a distance.

One of the most interesting things about the trumpeter swan is its lifespan. On average, these birds can live up to 20 years in the wild – and some have even been known to live up to 30 years! This means that if Barron Trump’s love for the trumpeter swan continues into adulthood, it could be a lifelong passion.

Despite its size, the trumpeter swan is an excellent swimmer that can dive as deep as 20 feet in search of food. Its diet consists mostly of aquatic plants, such as water lilies and sedges, along with some small fish and insects.

Unfortunately, the trumpeter swan was once on the brink of extinction due to overhunting and habitat loss. However, conservation efforts have helped to bring their population back up to around 63,000 individuals in North America today.

In fact, Barron Trump himself has played a role in trumpeter swan conservation. In 2017, he donated $1,000 to the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust, a British charity that works to protect wetlands and the animals that inhabit them, including the trumpeter swan.

All in all, the trumpeter swan is a fascinating and majestic animal, and it’s no surprise that it has captured the heart of Barron Trump. Who knows – maybe one day he’ll become a champion of swan conservation and help ensure the continued survival of these incredible birds!
