The blue wildebeest, or common wildebeest, is a large grazing antelope with a heavy forequarter, sloping back and curved horns in both sexes. The Serengeti-Mara population undertakes one of the largest terrestrial migrations on earth. It depends on short, freshly grown grass and moves in response to rainfall.
