Thalassoma bifasciatum
A small wrasse reaching about twenty-five centimetres, occurring in two adult forms: small yellow-striped individuals and large males with a blue head and green body separated by black and white bars. It feeds on zooplankton and small invertebrates. It is a standard laboratory model for sex change in fish.
