Sphyrna tiburo
The bonnethead is the smallest hammerhead, usually under 1.2 metres, with a rounded shovel-shaped head rather than a wide hammer. It lives over seagrass flats in small groups and feeds heavily on blue crabs. It is also the only shark shown to digest and use plant material.
