Animal profile
Carcharhinus leucas
The bull shark is a thickset requiem shark of shallow, often turbid coastal water, typically two to three and a half metres long. It is the shark most likely to be found far up a river, and uses estuaries as nurseries. Its blunt snout and small eyes suit a life in murky water.
