The fringe-lipped bat, also called the frog-eating bat, is a medium-sized leaf-nosed bat with conical warts on its lips and chin. It eats insects, lizards and frogs, and is best known for locating calling male frogs by their mating songs. Much of what is known comes from long-term work on Barro Colorado Island, Panama.
