Golden Poison Frog

Field profile

The largest of the poison dart frogs, reaching about five centimetres, and uniformly bright yellow, orange or pale green. It is restricted to a narrow band of Colombian rainforest and is the only frog reliably documented as being used to poison blowgun darts. Habitat loss is the principal threat.
