Northern Plains Grey Langur

The grey langur is a long-tailed leaf-eating monkey with a black face and pale grey coat, familiar around Indian temples and villages. It tolerates human presence closely and is protected by religious tradition in much of its range. Groups may be single-male or multi-male depending on habitat.
