Kirtland's Warbler

Kirtland's warbler is a blue-grey and yellow wood-warbler with an exceptionally narrow habitat requirement. It nests on the ground beneath young jack pines of a specific age and height. Once reduced to a few hundred singing males, it was removed from the United States endangered species list in 2019.
