Eublepharis macularius
The leopard gecko is a ground-dwelling nocturnal gecko from the dry uplands of south-central Asia, spotted in black on yellow. Unlike most geckos it has movable eyelids and lacks adhesive toe pads. Its thick tail stores fat and can be shed when the animal is seized.
