Long-nosed Potoroo

The long-nosed potoroo is a rabbit-sized member of the kangaroo superfamily with a tapering snout and short rounded ears. It digs for underground fungi, roots and invertebrates in dense cover. It is rarely seen because it moves through thick understorey and forages at night.
