Animal profile
A mule is the offspring of a male donkey and a female horse, bred deliberately for work rather than occurring naturally in any numbers. Mules combine the horse's size with the donkey's sure-footedness and toughness. The reciprocal cross, a female donkey with a male horse, produces a hinny, which is harder to obtain and generally smaller.
