Nemopilema nomurai
Nemopilema nomurai is among the largest scyphozoan jellyfish, with a bell reaching around two metres and a mass in the low hundreds of kilograms. Periodic blooms have swamped Japanese fishing nets. It has no tentacles in the usual sense, feeding through frilled oral arms.
