Ovenbird

Field profile

The ovenbird is a ground-dwelling wood-warbler, olive above with a spotted white breast and an orange crown stripe bordered in black. It walks rather than hops along the forest floor. Its name comes from the domed, side-entrance nest it builds in the leaf litter.
