Pig-nosed Turtle

The pig-nosed turtle is the only surviving member of its family, with a soft grey carapace and a fleshy snout resembling a pig's. It is the sole freshwater turtle with true paddle-like flippers rather than webbed feet. Eggs and adults are heavily harvested in New Guinea, and the species is declining.
