Animal profile
Pill millipedes are short, broad millipedes of the order Glomerida and relatives, able to roll into a tight ball. Most European species are under two centimetres, while giant pill millipedes of Madagascar and Asia can reach the size of a golf ball. They eat leaf litter and rotting wood.
