Risso's Dolphin

Field profile

Risso's dolphin is a blunt-headed dolphin of about three metres with a tall dorsal fin and a vertical crease down the forehead. It feeds almost exclusively on squid taken in deep water. Older animals appear almost white because of accumulated scarring.
