Short-beaked Common Dolphin

Field profile

The short-beaked common dolphin is a slim, fast dolphin of about two metres, marked with a criss-crossing hourglass pattern of tan, grey and white along the flanks. It travels in large and sometimes very large groups. It feeds on schooling fish and squid, often at night.
