Striped Bass

Striped bass are anadromous predators marked by dark horizontal stripes along a silver flank. They spawn in fresh or brackish river water and feed along the coast. The Atlantic coastal stock collapsed in the 1980s and was rebuilt, an unusually well-documented fishery recovery.
