Vervet Monkey

The vervet monkey is a medium-sized grey guenon with a black face ringed in white, common across eastern and southern African savannah. It lives in mixed-sex troops with strong female hierarchies and readily exploits crops and rubbish. Its alarm calls have been studied for decades.
